A lie apprehended,

A truth comprehended,

The rush, the flush,

It happens all the time.

A sin absolved,

A fight resolved.

It wrenches your heart,

And leaves you tart.

It courses through you like…

A drop of blood in a bowl of milk.

Two lovers in the garden,

What sights are we beholding?

A lingering caress,

Designed to ease the stress.

I wish those times again.

Lo, what causes the flurry?

Run, my younglings, hurry!

The Dame is quick to scolding.

They blush,

It spreads across like…

A drop of blood in a bowl of milk.

K I S S I N G…

Now ‘tis dying song,

May it not go unsung.

Like a ripple, may it spread;

Through the ages, may it be heard.

Let it stain the hearts of men like…

A drop of blood in a bowl of milk.

Blood is thicker than milk…
