Naïveté

Hello everyone.

This is an old work of mine, I finally dug it up from the bottom of the box where I hid it.

It’s a love poem and it is (was) my understanding of the ever changing phenomenon that we all can’t seem to do without.

NAÏVETÉ

It hurts to love,
Even more so to lose.

Love;
I once believed in it
But then I felt the heat.
I loved them so,
They hurt me so.
I cried and cried,
Second time’s the charm.

Tears are falling

I loved again,
I cried again,
I hid my face,
They laughed at me.
I loved them so,
They hurt me so.
I wished they hadn’t,
Now a lovely soul is hardened.
With an ardent resolve,
I will never involve.

I crossed a man,
I caused him pain.
I took a piece of him,
And left him on a whim.
He loved me so,
I hurt him so.
He hid his face,
I laughed at him.
It felt so good,
I did again.
Goodness for a change.
Such hateful bliss
Could give a soul peace.

Hehehe!!!

Now I have to run,
Once again I’m in the gun,
I thought it such fun,
To leave one forlorn.
I am shamed now that I find,
I love yet again.
How come I never learn?
What answers do I yearn?
Only this much I know,
Surely sorrow must follow.
I love again,
I’ll cry again.
I’ll hide my face,
He’ll laugh at me.

Flee for your life!!!

It hurts to love,
Sometimes more to lose.

It really hurts to lose love

  2. Did you think of how this will make her feel…
I’m sure she least expects this from you now.

If you hurt, talk to her.

  3. Love is in the air – I know.
Maybe it’s just the chilly wind – who knows?
    But.
This feels like Kane vicariously told another’s story… How else could one explain this?

Identify the odd word out: love, tears, hurt, Kane.

    Ordiegwu.
